On Tuesday 27th April we were very lucky to be visited by the author and illustrator Steve Smallman.
On the last day of March BVS was visited by the fantasy fiction author Mark Robson. He’d come in to school to work with the pupils in Year 6 and Year 5.
This week has been our Spring Term Creative Week and we have been focusing on Art and Design and Technology. Each Year Group has been studying a continent and looking at a variety of countries. Year 3 have chosen Asia and concentrated on

Last week some of our Year 5 pupils departed for a residential trip to Osmington Bay in Dorset.
On Wednesday 12th November Year 4 walked to Bradwell Abbey. They were going to have a Roman Day.
Saturday 8th November saw our Cross Country Team depart to the MK Bowl to see if their training had paid off. At 9am there was some doubt whether the event would take place; the heavens had opened but by 10am the sun was peeping through the clouds. Unfortunately The Bowl resembled a sea of mud!
Today we were awarded a plaque in Assembly by Mr Terry Brown to recognise that we had achieved the National Healthy Schools’ status.
BVS has grown the tallest Sunflowers.
